What’s New in 2025
Group Life Benefit
- Maximum cover increased: From 5× salary to 10× salary, up to US$2 million.
- Higher age limits: Renewals extended to age 74 for groups with 50+ employees.
- Higher automatic acceptance limits (AALs):
- Up to US$2 million cover automatically approved for groups of 20+ – no medical checks.
- Renewal flexibility: Benefit increases of up to 15% per year (capped US$50k), with no medical required.
- Admin simplified: Quarterly updates allowed for groups of 20–49 employees; annual for larger groups.
2. Individual Life Benefit
- Renewable increase: Up to 10% per year, capped at US$50k, no further underwriting needed.
- Lower entry thresholds:
- Minimum base cover of US$50k, or US$10k if age 51+.
- Smoker-rated pricing allows finer pricing adjustments.
- Smart features:
- Up to US$100k accidental death cover during application period.
- Includes terminal illness early payout.
- Dividend income can now be included in salary calculations.
- Renewals up to age 74.
3. New Optional Benefits for Both Group & Individual
- Accidental Death & Permanent Disablement (AD&PD):
- Up to US$1m for accidental death; US$500k for disabling injury.
- Adult Critical Illness:
- Coverage up to US$100k, in US$10k units for 19 defined illnesses.
- Child Critical Illness:
- Payable up to US$5k per child across 13 specified conditions.
- Funeral & Repatriation:
- US$5k lump sum for funeral and repatriation upon the policyholder’s death.
