What is EARCOS?
Consisting of 144 schools, The East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) is a an organization which promotes educational excellence, best practice and inter-cultural understanding between its members.
EARCOS is open to elementary and secondary schools in East Asia which use English as the primary language of instruction, to help form a “learning community”, of more than 100,000 students enrolled at member institutions.
The organization’s goals include developing partnerships in the region as well as worldwide to share expertise and pass on knowledge, connecting schools and the communities where they are based to promote collaboration and access to more opportunities for learning, and engaging adults and students in learning opportunities to promote cultural understanding as well as concepts of responsibility and global citizenship.
In addition to its core membership, EARCOS has some 170 associate members which comprise of various education-related organizations and businesses.
One World Cover is proud to be one such member of this highly respected and influential body and we are an active participant in the EARCOS community, regularly attending the organization’s events and conferences.
Through our involvement with EARCOS, we have fostered closer and more intimate relations with its international school members to develop an intimate understanding of the challenges educational institutions face in providing the most appropriate and beneficial health care coverage for their staff.
